Step 1: Submission of Application:
Firstly, you must submit an accurate and complete application form, together with all the necessary details about your manufacturing unit and the food products you produce.
Step 2: Submit Documents:
Along with the application form, several documents must also be submitted, such as a registration certificate of your manufacturing unit, a list of products manufactured, and lab test reports for each product, among others.
Step 3: Inspection:
After submission of the application and documents, the FSSAI will conduct an inspection of your manufacturing unit to verify compliance with their requirements. The inspection will cover various aspects such as the manufacturing process, ingredients, packaging material, and quality control measures.
Step 4: Lab Testing:
Thereafter, your product samples will be sent for lab testing to a laboratory approved by the FSSAI. Various tests will be conducted on the samples to ensure they meet the quality and safety standards stipulated by the FSSAI. The lab test reports will then be sent to the FSSAI for evaluation.
Step 5: Issuance of Certificate:
Once your products meet the quality and safety standards set by the FSSAI, they will issue the FPO mark certification. This certification allows you to display the FPO mark on your product packaging, indicating that your products are safe and of high quality.
